PEEPING TOM 2.0: Hospital supervisor fixes mobile phone in ladies toilet, held
Three weeks after a man was arrested for fixing cameras in a women’s hostel, a housekeeping supervisor of a private hospital in Saidapet has been arrested for fixing his mobile phone inside the toilet for women staff at the hospital.

The accused, S Sivaprakash (23) of Tsunami quarters, Ernavur, is an employee of Neatt & Clean, to whom the housekeeping of RG Stone Urology and Laparoscopy Hospital on Anna Salai had been outsourced. He had been appointed supervisor six months ago and police said that he started keeping his mobile phone inside the toilet for women staff for the past one month.
The incident came to light after a woman staff member noticed a smart phone with its camera on inside the toilet on Thursday, retrieved it and took up the matter with the administration. The phone was found to belong to Sivaprakash and he was handed over to Saidapet police. Police said that the videos in the phone were deleted by the hospital staff. Though Sivaprakash claimed that he had deleted the videos after watching them, police are investigating whether he sent the videos to others.
After investigation, police arrested Sivaprakash under Section 294 (b) and 506 (1) of the IPC and Section 4 of the Women Harassment Act and 66E (Punishment for violation of privacy) of IT Act. While hospital authorities were not available for comment, representatives of Neatt and Clean, when contacted, refused to speak about the incident.
Spycam case
In the first week of December, inmates of a private hostel in Adambakkam found out that the owner had installed hi-tech spy cameras inside their rooms. Following their complaint, A Sampath Raj (48) alias Sanjay was arrested. In total, nine cameras were retrieved from the house. Three laptops, two tablets, 10 mobile phones were also seized from him. tablets, 10 mobile phones were also seized from him.
