Six held for indulging in robbery

Maduravoyal police arrested Karthik and Surya for robbing a pedestrian of his two-sovereign chain. Jegadeeswaran of Ariyalur was walking along Perumal street in Alapakkam when three men on a bike attacked him and escaped with his jewels. Police identified the suspects from CCTV footage and secured them, and are hunting for another suspect.

Teynampet police too have arrested two suspects involved in a series of robberies. Gajendran (48) from Teynampet was riding his two-wheeler on Thomas Road when Kullu Pradeep (23) of S M Nagar and Raja (27) of Kannagi Nagar stopped him and snatched his mobile phone and cash. Police arrested the duo.
