Sexual assault case pending against Avadi murder suspect

The suspects, identified as Suresh and his wife Lakshmi, murdered the elderly couple, Jagadeesan and Vilasini, in Avadi and escaped with the jewels in the residence. The city police sources said that the suspects have a history of crime. “Suresh is wanted in at least 22 property related cases and a sexual assault case in Andhra Pradesh. He seems to have joined for work with a plan to eliminate the couple and loot them,” police sources said.

As there is no CCTV camera in the house and also there is no photo of the accused available, the police are finding it difficult to identify the suspects. Police are also trying to locate the relatives of Lakshmi hoping to get the details of the suspects.

Earlier, Suresh is said to have worked as a security guard in a private school in Avadi. Jagadeesan had employed Suresh and his wife two weeks ago and they were staying in the outhouse. Police also recovered the rod used to murder the elderly couple from the paddy field nearby.
