City DC ‘accidental’ celebrity on TikTok app

A video of Somasundaram, DC, armed reserve II, has been going viral because he was seen performing a popular Tamil number in uniform for 14 seconds. That video has now garnered 15,000 likes and more than 2,500 fans. His handle also shows that he has posted more than 40 videos on the app. 

“Somebody drew may attention to the development only yesterday. I had no idea about the fact that people can watch me,” he said.  

The officer believes he has not violated any code. “I haven’t done anything wrong. It was just an act and I was not aware of the dynamics of the app,” he further noted.  But members of the constabulary are viewing it differently. “Will the superiors make an exception for a constable if he is seen performing on an app?,” one policeman from the Armed Reserve asked.
