Man attacks woman after dog pees on house

The victim, Suguna (50) of Ambedkar Nagar, sustained minor injuries and is undergoing treatment at a private hospital, police said.The incident took place around 9 pm when Suguna, who works as a maid, took the owner’s dog out for a walk. Sakthi, who noticed the dog taking a piss in front of his house, got into an argument with her. Police said that Suguna verbally abused him, which provoked him further.Sakthi then took a PVC pipe lying on the road and started to beat Suguna. Shocked passers-by tried to prevent him, but in vain.After a video of the incident went viral, Madipakkam police registered a case and launched a hunt for Sakthi, who was missing. After preliminary inquiry, police found out there had been arguments and fights between them earlier as well on the dog issue. Sakthi, who is an air-conditioner mechanic, is unmarried and lives with his brother.
