Tile from Metro subway ceiling falls, woman hurt
While the number of incidents of glass panels falling off at Chennai airport is set to touch hundred, it looks like Chennai Metro rail has begun its own account with tiles.

A 28-year-old woman sustained injuries on her head after a tile fell on her from the ceiling of the subway of Shenoy Nagar Metro station on Saturday.Â
The incident occurred around 8.30 am when the victim, Vijaya of Bharathipuram in Aminjikarai, was returning from Ooty reached Shenoy Nagar from Chennai Central by metro rail. She was travelling with her husband Manikandan and their children.Â
The tile fell on Vijaya’s head and she suffered injuries. Manikandan rushed her to a nearby private hospital where she was treated for head injuries.Â
