KCG College creates awareness on tertiary education
KCG college organised Engenius 18, an awareness cum learning programme on engineering, as a field of study for school children at its campus.
The main focus of the programme was to showcase the importance of preparing secondary school students for tertiary education and to motivate them to develop interest in engineering and technology.
Nearly, two thousand students from 39 schools took part in the program. KCG Engenius’18, provided students with opportunities to know their aptitude for engineering and also to exhibit their talents and demonstrate their skills through various programs such as programming contest, hacking and science fair.
Workshops on Robotics, App Development, and Internet of Things, were also organised to help students get a taste of the emerging technologies. The participants also got an opportunity to visit the aircraft hangar and know about various innovative projects, displayed in the exhibition hall.
This programme has been organised by KCG College of Technology and is held once every year at its campus. The main objective of the event was to create awareness among students about engineering, various engineering /technology courses and career opportunities for engineering graduates and also to make them understand that holistic education holds the key to success.
