Priest molests minor for over two years, arrested

The accused N Natraj is a priest at Gangaiamman temple in the locality, said police. Though he is married, he has no children. 

The 15-year-old victim lives in the same locality and would often visit the temple to help Natraj in pujas. 

However, Natraj misused the opportunity and molested the girl in a structure adjacent to the temple during the past two years. He  threatened the girl not to tell her parents. 

The girl recently informed her parents about the incident and her mother lodged a complaint at the Harbour all-women police station. After an investigation, the police arrested Natraj under POCSO Act and remanded him in judicial custody.
