11 years on, adopted son finds his way back
A 25-year-old car driver, who suffered memory loss after an accident and was separated from his adopted parents in Pallikaranai when he was 14, was reunited with them after 11 years.

Ramachandran (56) of Pallikaranai had adopted his brother Viswanathan’s son Sadasivam in 2008 as he was childless. When Sadasivam was a Class 9 student, he went missing on August 13, 2008. After the searches for him proved futile, Ramachandran lodged a complaint at Pallikaranai police station, but in vain.
On that day, Sadasivam met with an accident and lost his memories and could not return home. On noticing the teenager roaming on roads, a few persons admitted him to a private home at Vysarpadi. He was later transferred to another home in Villupuram and was employed at a soap factory.
There, Govindasamy, a lorry driver, adopted him and brought him back to the city and raised him. He was given training in driving and became a cab driver.
Meanwhile, Sadasivam, who was driving cars, befriended Lokesh of Kaladipet. As they were exchanging their childhood memories, Sadasivam narrated that he was an adopted child. Though he was happy, he always wished to know who his parents were.
Sadasivam said he vaguely remembered staying at a home in Vysarpadi. The two friends who visited the home and explained the reason for their visit.
The officials at the home handed him a few documents related to the bank
accounts. While scrutinising those, they found a school identity card in which his father name was mentioned Ramachandran from Chitlapakkam.
Deciding that it would not be appropriate to directly visit the family, they approached the Pallikaranai police station seeking their help.
Inspector Albinraj who checked the missing complaints, traced the address of Sadasivam’s parents and reunited him with them. It was an emotional moment at the police station as the young man was reunited not just with Ramachandran, but his biological parents, Viswanathan and Annalakshmi, as well.
