Chennai police book Hrithik Roshan on cheating charges
The City Police have booked Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan along with eight other persons in connection with a cheating case filed by a businessman in the city. The police here, who were reportedly reluctant when the complainant approached them initially in December 2014, registered a case now after he moved a court.

In the complaint he lodged, Muralidharan of Sun Enterprises in Muthamizh Nagar claimed that he was
appointed as the super stockist by Xtreme Perfume and Personal Care Pvt Ltd in Gurgoan for their new perfume brand called HRX in 2014. The brand was to be built on the popularity of the young actor.
According to Muralidharan, Hrithik Roshan, who promoted the new perfume as his own brand, later said that the HRX brand has been assigned to Global Fragrances owned by Somesh Choudry.
Alleging this to be a clear sign of fraud due to which he suffered losses to the tune of Rs 20 lakh, Muralidharan sought criminal action against everyone involved in the scam, including the film star. Though Muralidharan had lodged a complaint in December 2014, police registered a case only now, after he moved the court.
Other accused are Sanjeev Nayyar from Gurgaon, Abhinav Modi from Hyderabad, Somesh Chowdary from Delhi, Afzar Zaidi from Mumbai, Extreme Perfume & Personal Care Pvt Ltd, VP Agencies, Global Fragrance Pvt Ltd and XS Brands Consultancy Pvt Ltd.
