Naam Tamilar Katchi leader Seeman on Sunday alleged that the BJP was behind the incident which led the Kerala police to stop him when he went to handover relief materials to the victims of the Kerala floods.

Seeman along with his partymen went to Kerala and handed over relief materials to the affected people in the presence of government officials.
Addressing media persons, Seeman said that when he was returning, policemen in Kerala had stopped some of the lorries which had sported the photographs of slain LTTE leader Prabhakaran.
They took Seeman and the lorries to the police station on the pretext of investigation. After being questioned, the NTK leader and the vehicles were allowed to proceed. The incident was condemned by various political leaders.
Holding the BJP responsible, Seeman said, “People in Kerala were so friendly, and things were loaded in the presence of officials after obtaining permission from them. But when we were returning police stopped me and said that a complaint was filed against us by the BJP and hence they were compelled to investigate me.”
Meanwhile, MDMK leader Vaiko said that Rs 10 lakh would be donated to the Kerala Chief Minister’s special fund. In a statement, Vaiko said, “Besides, essential commodities required for the people would be collected and dispatched soon.”
Vaiko also demanded the Central government to provide the financial assistance demanded by the Kerala government.
