Red sanders worth 25 lakh seized at airport

On Saturday, the Customs officials were checking the consignments that were to be loaded into the cargo flight to Hong Kong. They found three big consignments that were labelled as teak wood. On suspicion, the Customs officials tried to contact the sender over phone with the mobile number written on the package. 

However, the mobile number was not in use. Following this, the officials decided to cancel the delivery and decided to check the address provided, which also turned out to be fake. 

Following this, the officials decided to open all the three packages and found red sanders logs inside. The logs weighed about 413 kg that was worth Rs 25 lakh. The Customs officials seized the red sanders and are trying to identify the consignor with the help of the clearing agency concerned.
