Odisha youth jumps off RGGGH terrace, dies

The deceased was identified as Chetan Kumar (20), a student from Bhubaneshwar. He was identified with the help of his driving licence and college identity card. A train ticket from Bhubaneshwar to Chennai dated August 20 and a Chennai Central platform ticket dated August 21 were also found.

Chetan’s death was conveyed to his sister Swathi and brother Shamanth Kumar. “They are expected to reach Chennai on Thursday, after which we will know the reason for his visit to Chennai and the suicide,” police said. Around 8 am on Tuesday, he jumped off the terrace (seventh floor) of Tower 2 of the hospital and suffered severe head injuries. He was rushed to the hospital, but doctors declared him brought dead.
