Over the past decade, Anna Nagar has seen a sudden boom in the number of commercial establishments and restaurants. I consider this is a development in the positive direction because we’re at least learning about many cultures and cuisines that we might have never gotten a chance to, unless we’d travelled to that state or country.

When I heard that an Indo-Mexican fusion eatery has opened up in VR Mall, I was curious to try it so I went there with a group of friends, for the first time soon after it opened and a couple of days ago too. While I quite liked the food the first time around — we ordered a paneer rice and prawn wrap — I was disappointed the second time.

I felt Wrapchic had deteriorated within just a month; the prices had increased and we were made to wait for nearly half an hour before we received our order. The chicken keema burrito wasn’t even cooked properly.
