4 women lose gold chains in temple festivals

A total of 36 sovereigns of the gold ornaments were robbed from the four women victims, according to the police. In Pallavaram Periyapalayathamman temple, two devotees, identified as Parameswari (43) and Sennithangam (53) lost their gold ornaments on Sunday. 

While Parameswari lost 21 sovereigns of gold, the other woman was relieved of six sovereigns of the gold. Similarly, Pallikaranai police have registered cases based on complaints from two women who lost their gold chains during the festival at Srmuthumari Amman Temple in Ottiyampakkam.
