3 lose phones to snatchers in city
In the continuing incidents of mobile phone snatching in the city, three people lost their phones on Monday.

A four-member gang intercepted a 34-yearold private firm employee near NSK Nagar in Arumbakkam in the wee hours of Monday and attacked him with a knife when he refused to part with his phone. The victim, Arun (35), suffered injuries and was admitted to a hospital while the robbers escaped with the phone.
The incident happened when he was returning home in NSK Nagar from the mofussil bus terminus in Koyambedu. Based on his complaint, Aminjikarai police have registered a case and collected CCTV footage from the locality.
Similarly, a speech and hearing impaired youth was attacked by a bike-borne duo in Valasaravakkam and relieved of his mobile phone.
The victim, Ranjesh, has lodged a complaint at Valasaravakkam police station. In Teynampet, a pedestrian identified as Sitharanjan was attacked by a bike-borne duo and was robbed of his mobile phone.
