99-year-old retired HM held for molesting child at Avadi

The man identified as K Parusuraman, a retired head master of a government school was arrested by the Avadi all-women police. Police said that Parasuraman, who owns five houses in the locality, have rented them out.

A couple living in one of the houses for two years have a ten-year-old girl child. According to the police, the child complained about stomach ache to her parents on Friday. When her parents questioned her further, the girl told them what Parasuraman did to her. Shocked over this, the family lodged a complaint with the Avadi All Woman Police Station.

Based on the complaint, police picked up Parasuraman from his house. During interrogation, he confessed to his crime and was later arrested under charges of sexual assault and remanded in judicial custody. The accused is a father of five girls and two sons, said police.
