UK professors to train teachers, students in English
The official said the workshop has immense scope to develop the reading and writing skills of the students. The training’s propose is to enhance the capacity of students integrating technology with classroom processes.

In a bid to enhance communication skills, Tamil Nadu government has decided to conduct English training programme in high and higher secondary schools from July, soon after the ongoing teachers training programme gets over.
Accordingly, about 100 professors from UK will be visiting the state shortly to participate in the workshop programme. School Education Department sources said that the training programme will make sure that all the students and teachers are covered. The programme assumes significance as it comes after the TN government entered into an agreement with the British Council to offer an online course to teachers.
“Soon after the (6 weeks) teacher training gets over, about 100 professors and English training teachers from London will be visiting the state to conduct training programme with the help of the authorities,” a senior official from School Education Department said. He said that the English training programme cum workshop will be conducted for the students over a period of three to four months.
