Chennai men arrested with gun in Tindivanam

Police noted that both have a history of crime and indicated that the duo was in Tindivanam with some criminal intention. “We cannot say the gun was lethal because it was air gun. But it is enough to scare a person,” police noted. 

Villupuram district police said that the two were picked up from Tindivanam during a check and found that they were carrying an air gun and four machetes, besides a packet of chilli powder. Though they claimed that they were planning to murder a man who is having an affair with the wife of one of them, police are not ready to believe their confession. 

“The two were also carrying chilli powder with them. It is also possible that they were planning a robbery using the weapons,” police noted. “We will have to do a detailed inquiry with the two after taking them to our custody. Only a custodial interrogation will reveal what were they aiming at,” police noted.
