Fourth minor detained in 15-year-old’s murder case
A day after three juveniles surrendered to the police in connection with the murder of 15-year-old boy in Nungambakkam, the fourth accused, also a juvenile, was apprehended by police on Monday.

Police said that Murugan, father of one of the accused and an office assistant in a government office, made them surrender with help of a lawyer, after his son confessed to him about the murder. After inquiries, police on Sunday detained the fourth minor for interrogation. They are also taking steps to exhume Rajesh’s body under the supervision of tahsildar.
The deceased Rajesh (15), went missing from January 14 this year. He was homeless and worked along with his father as a daily wager while simultaneously helping his mother to sell old books. The Choolaimedu police had registered a case based on the complaint from the boy’s father and were investigating.
The accused allegedly murdered him over a petty quarrel and buried him at the crematorium in Nungambakkam.
