Girl raped by youth in Tiruvallur

The 15-year-old girl is said to be in Class 10 and the incident happened when she was home during summer vacation. Police said that youngsters in the neighbourhood befriended her and allegedly introduced her to liquor and drugs. They took her to outskirts without the knowledge of her parents and raped her.

However, since the girl fell ill recently, her parents took her to a hospital where she reportedly admitted having consumed liquor and ganja. Shocked parents inquired her further and came to know of the sexual abuse.

Based on the complaint from the girl’s parents, Tiruvallur police arrested seven persons. They have also launched a hunt for five more persons in the case.
