Doctor’s timely action saves life of worker
Timely intervention by a doctor of a private hospital saved the life of a 46-year old worker at Porur.
According to a release from the Sri Ramachandra Hospital, Manoharan (46) of Poonamallee, who was working on scaffolding near the Porur flyover, suddenly lost balance and fell. As Manoharan lost consciousness, one of the co-workers tried to revive him, but in vain.
Dr Nagengdra Bhoopathi, a cardiologist at Sri Ramachandra Hospital, who was passing through that area in his car, checked Manoharan and found that the pulse was nil. A student of Savitha University also joined Nagendra Bhoopathi and tried to revive the worker.
As their efforts failed to yield results, the cardiologist arranged an ambulance from Sri Ramachandra Hospital and the patient
was rushed to the hospital. He was taken to the ICU, where he was revived through necessary treatment and became normal.
An angioplasty has been planned on Tuesday to check the status of Manoharan, according to a release from the hospital.
