Man beaten to death, juvenile among two held
The Tirumangalam police have arrested two persons, including a juvenile, for beating a man to death over a petty quarrel

The deceased, A Abdul Kadhar (45) of Sharma Nagar, owned and rode a load autorickshaw. The incident happened on Tuesday when Abdul Kadhar was crossing the 18th Main Road at Anna Nagar West.
The trio on a bike came in the opposite direction and almost collided with Abdul’s auto, which led to an argument between them. In a fit of rage, the trio attacked Abdul Kadhar with stones and escaped from the spot. Abdul Kadhar was rushed to the hospital with bleeding injuries. He died of injuries on Thursday.
The Tirumangalam police, who had registered a case, altered it to a murder case and arrested K Shyam Manojkumar (19) of Anna Nagar West and another minor. A hunt has been launched for another accused Dinesh Karthik.
Daily wager found dead
A 23-year-old man was found dead near Koyambedu metro station on Thursday. Police rushed to the spot and sent the body for post mortem examination. The deceased was identified as Ganesan of Mettukulam, a daily wage labourer.
