Pregnant woman commits suicide

The deceased, Anitha, wife of Nagendran, was five months pregnant and the couple also has a two-year-old son. According to police, the couple would quarrel often. On Tuesday, Nagendran wanted to attend a function at a relative’s house but Anitha refused to accompany him. 

When Nagendran asked her to allow him to take their son along with him, Anitha started fighting. Angry over the issue, Nagendran scolded her and left the place with their son. 

When they returned home around 10.30 pm, Nagendran found his wife hanging. On information, Tambaram police sent her body for autopsy to Chromepet Government Hospital. Police have registered a case and are conducting inquiries with the husband.
