On early Thursday, two men wearing black coloured dress tried to open the lock of the shutter using a duplicate key.Â
When they were trying to break in, the emergency alarm went off and residents nearby stated rushed to the bank. Noticing that the people are gathering the two men escaped on a two-wheeler. Bank manager Senthilnathan has filed a complaint.Â
This comes after two bank robberies in Chennai, in which burglars broke Indian Overseas Bank branch at Virugambakkam in March and stole Rs 30 lakh and a man stole Rs 6 lakh from Indian bank at Indiranagar at gunpoint recently.
