City doctor to launch portal for affordable treatment today

With this in mind, Dr Isaac Newton Rajkumar, a 70-year-old reputed orthopaedic surgeon in the city, who has worked in a number of hospitals for over 35 years, will be launching a portal on Monday committed to giving healthcare solutions to the public.

“The portal www.medibazaar.com will focus on helping people access affordable medical treatment with the click of a mouse or a swipe on the smartphone,” he said.

“The portal, which is basically a virtual mini encyclopaedia on health care, primarily aims at integrating patients, hospitals, medical laboratories, scan centres, pharmacies and other peripheral medical services into a single unit,” he added.

Stating that out patients and the elderly seeking treatment at home can also get in touch with medical professionals through the portal, he said, “It aims at making health care comprehensive. The portal will be a gateway for cost effective healthcare services in Chennai,” Rajkumar said.
