S Sibi, convenor of the initiative, said that the idea behind the project, conceived by Rev Dr Y Sailas Gnanadoss, Presbyter of the St Luke’s Church, was to reach out to those who are not able to afford.  “We are requesting people to donate old clothes, utensils or any item that they think would be of use to someone else. They have been asked to affix a reasonable price tag to them. We are getting together a group of needy people, giving them gift vouchers worth Rs 500 or more. They can then have a shopping experience by buying these donated items. This will ensure they will choose the items they need the most,” he said.

The shop will be inaugurated at 7 am on the church premises. Dr R Nataraj, MLA, Mylapore will inaugurate the shop and participate in the Palm Sunday procession.
