Load auto driver found with throat slit on ECR
A 35-year-old load auto driver was murdered on Sunday night near Kalpakkam.

The deceased, Selvam, a resident of Ayyapakkam near Kalpakkam, told his wife Chandramathi after dinner that he was going to Chennai to pick load.
Getting no calls from Selvam till Monday morning and finding his mobile phone switched off, Chandramathi began to search for him.
Meanwhile, Sadras police received information of a man found dead with his throat slit near Poonthandalam on ECR (East Coast Road).
Police rushed to the spot and sent the body for post-mortem. Chandramathi has confirmed the victim to be his husband. The load auto, found 100 metres away from the spot, was seized.
1 dead, 4 injured in accident
One person died and four others from Bangalore got injured when their car turned upside down following a tyre-burst on the Chennai – Bangalore highway on Monday afternoon. The deceased was identified as Thejas, 22.
The five men from Karnataka were returning to Bangalore from Chennai in a car when they met with the accident.
While they were speeding on the Chennai – Bangalore NH 48, one of the front tyres of the car burst and the driver lost its control. The vehicle hit a mile stone and turned upside down.
“One of them died on the spot and other four who suffered injuries were taken to Kancheepuram government hospital,” police said.
