Cabbie found dead in his car at Adyar

When Sellaiyah from Tiruvanmiyur failed to return home on Wednesday night, his wife lodged a complaint at Tiruvanmiyur police station. Police got in touch with the taxi aggregator and found that his car has been parked near Indira Nagar. 

When they reached the spot, none were present in the car. On suspicion, police opened the trunk and found him dead with his right hand half burnt. His body was recovered and sent to Rajiv Gandhi Government Hospital for post-mortem examination. 

A case of suspicious death has been registered and police are investigating.
