Police received a tip-off that Kanagaraj, Vigneshwaraj alias Vicky and Saravanakumar were coming to a cemetery in Thirumullaivoyal at around noon. Following this, a team of police personnel surrounded and nabbed the trio, who are accused in a 2017 kidnapping case. They were remanded in judicial custody.Â
Although the police have been hunting for them, they escaped from the police after surfacing at Binu’s party that night.Â
Meanwhile, two history-sheeters, said to be a part of a rival gang led by CD Mani, surrendered before the police. Ramkumar, who was wanted in connection with making threating calls to Teynampet Inspector N Giri, surrendered at the station.Â
The second person, Hari, surrendered at Kotturpuram police station. Following the arrest of the 73 persons in Malayambakkam village during Binu’s birthday bash, the crackdown on gangsters has been intensified. After Binu, his arch-rival Arumbakkam Radhakrishnan, too, had surrendered. Police’s next target is said to be Mani.
