Spotted Deer mauled to death by stray dogs at IIT-M campus
In yet another tragic incident that would cause extreme concern for wildlife activists, a spotted deer was mauled to death by a group of stray Dogs at the IIT-Madras campus.

Sources said that the incident took place on Thursday night when the dogs on the prowl attacked the spotted deer near the humanities and science block.
Reports said that the incident took place two days after a blackbuck fawn was mauled to death by a dog near Sindhu hostel inside the sprawling IIT-M campus, which was home to a large number of spotted deers and black bucks.
Acting on information Forest department officials visited the spot and removed the carcass of the deer for post mortem.
