Change in suburban train pattern
Changes would be made in suburban train service in Chennai – Thiruvallur section and Chennai Beach – Royapuram section on January 27 and 28 as follows.
Chennai
Suburban train service, scheduled to reach Chennai Beach/Velachery, would be diverted to MMC. Kadambattur – Chennai Beach/Velachery EMU local, scheduled to leave Kadambattur at 12.05 hrs would be diverted to MMC instead of Beach/Velachery.
Thiruvallur – Chennai Beach/Velachery EMU local, scheduled to leave Thiruvallur at 1.40pm would be partially cancelled between Avadi – Chennai Beach/ Velachery. This train will run from Thiruvallur to Avadi.
Velachery / Chennai Beach – Pattabiram Military Siding EMU local, scheduled to leave Chennai Beach at 1.50pm would be cancelled between Chennai Beach – Pattabiram Military Siding. Velachery/Chennai Beach – Tiruttani EMU local, scheduled to leave Chennai Beach at 12.10 hrs and Velachery/Chennai Beach – Arakkonam EMU local, scheduled to leave Chennai Beach at 2.25pm and Velachery/Chennai Beach – Sulurpeta EMU local, scheduled to leave Chennai Beach at 2.40pm would be operated from MMC. Velachery/Chennai Beach – Avadi EMU local, scheduled to leave Chennai Beach at 11.10 hrs, Velachery / Chennai Beach – Thiruvallur EMU local, scheduled to leave Chennai Beach at 1.05pm, Avadi – Chennai Beach/Velachery EMU local, scheduled to leave Avadi at 12.10 hrs and Thiruvallur – MMC EMU local, scheduled to leave Thiruvallur at 2.40pm wold be fully cancelled. Similar changes have been made to MMC-Thiruvallur, Velachery-Thiruvallur, MMC-Arakkonam, MMC-Tiruvallur, MMC-Tiruttani, MMC-Kadambattur, Beach-Tiruvallur, Avadi-Arakkonam, MMC-Gummidipoondi and MMC-Sulurpeta sections owing to line block.
