500 kg ganja seized, man held
Police seized 500 kg ganja from a man during a regular vehicle check on Walltax road on Thursday evening.

The accused, Bolo Singh of Sowcarpet, smuggled in the huge consignment via train from Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh and was taking in an auto-rickshaw to a godown in Sowcarpet.Â
On suspicion, police stopped the vehicle and searched his luggage and found ganja hidden inside. Further investigation is on.Â
Meanwhile, four men have been arrested in Tondiarpet, R K Nagar and Tirunindravur and a huge volume of banned tobacco products and a mini truck were seized from them.
