DMK, AIADMK petition Election Commission

The DMK in its petition named Joint-Commissioner North R Sudhakar, DC - Washermenpet G Shashank Sai, three ACPs, and six Inspectors, to be shifted out of the constituency to ensure free and fair polls. 

The party’s organisation secretary RS Bharathi stated that the cops were playing mute spectators to the hoards of violations including bribing of voters by the ruling party. He also recalled the instance of Poll Officials being mobbed and attacked besides releasing two culprits that were involved in distribution of cash in the constituency on Tuesday night.

The AIAMDK had limited its purview with its sidelined leader TTV Dinakaran, and blamed that he had stocked about 1 lakh ‘Pressure Cookers’, meant to be distributed to the voters. It also demanded that Dinakaran must be prevented from using new ‘Pressure Cookers’ during his campaign and recover ‘Pressure Cookers’ he had already distributed to voters.
