Multi-state tsunami exercise on November 24
State Disaster Management Authority(SDMA) would participate in the multi-state tsunami exercise on November 24, organised in conjunction with Earth System Science Organization (ESSO) - Indian National Centre for Ocean Information Services (INCOIS).

A pre-drill meeting was held at the officer of Commissioner of Revenue Administration(CRA) K Satyagopal on Wednesday, and the other state officials and INCOIS representatives joined the meeting via video-conferencing. The drill will cover all coastal districts - Chennai, Cuddalore, Kancheepuram, Kanniyakumari, Nagapattinam, Pudukottai, Ramanathapuram, Thanjavur, Thoothukudi, Tirunelveli, Tiruvallur, Tiruvarur, and Villupuram and two coastal villages from each district will participate.
