Man scales cell tower on Anna Salai; held
High drama prevailed near the Anna flyover on Saturday, when a 30-year-old man climbed a cell phone tower and threatened to jump off if his demands for resignation of Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami and Deputy Chief Minister O Panneerselvam were not met.

R Ravichandran, a native of Chidambaram, who has been warned for similar attempts in Madurai and Tiruchy last year, climbed the tower near Anna flyover at 10 30 am and threw the paper from atop the tower, which had his list of demands, which included the resignation of the CM and his deputy.Â
The drama came to an end an hour later when police personnel climbed the tower to bring him down. Teynampet police have booked him under various sections and lodged him in Puzhal prison.Â
