    An inseparable bond, hails Stalin

DMK working president MK Stalin on Sunday said the inseparable bond between Dravidian movement and Daily Thanthi, which stands tall as Mt Everest, could be understood from the 75th anniversary of the newspaper coinciding with the centenary of Dravidian movement, golden jubilee of Anna assuming office as CM and Karunanidhi’s diamond jubilee as MLA. In his congratulatory message, Stalin said that he takes pride in reminding that Daily Thanthi has walked hand in hand for three quarters of a century with Dravidian movement The relationship DMK founder Anna and incumbent president M Karunanidhi shared with its founder Si Pa Aditanar, popularly called Tamizhar Thanthai (father of Tamils), was an ethno-lingual one beyond borders, he remarked, wishing the paper to march in its uncompromising and upright path for centuries for the uplift of Tamil and Tamilians.

A hit among rural masses, says CPI

Mutharasan also pointed out that the newspaper has been providing a lot of information about local, state, nation and world news. “Further, the supplements have also been helpful to all,” he noted.
