Plea to free owner of fertility clinic
Patients of a fertility clinic approached the Chennai police saying that their treatment is at stake after the police arrested the doctor of the clinic for allegedly trying to kill a lady doctor.

Nearly 20 people, including women, reached the office of the city Police Commissioner office in Vepery seeking the release of the doctor VM Thomas of Chennai Fertility Centre. He was arrested for sending a gang to the home of Dr Ramya, his former colleague, to assault her after she joined another fertility clinic.
“Dr Thomas is now in jail and not yet released on bail. So, we want the police to allow him to come out so that we can continue our treatment,” one of the patients told reporters. Ramya was stabbed in front of her house due to a professional rivalry, existed between her and Thomas. He was frustrated because Ramya could take away patients of his clinic.
