Tamil Nadu to be a partner state at World Food Fair in Delhi
Tamil Nadu is all set to participate as a partner state in the World Food India 2017, which is being organised by the Union Ministry of Food Processing Industries, in New Delhi, from November 3.

Tamil Nadu will participate as a partner state in the event showcasing its strength and opportunities through stalls in the state pavilion, said a press release. “Tamil Nadu state session will be held at 5 pm on 4.11.2017 at Hall No. 4, Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi,” it said.
Farm producers organisations, various departments like Agricultural Marketing, Horticulture and educational institutions like Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Tamil Nadu Veterinary University, Fisheries University and private entrepreneurs will be part of the state pavilion. Many of the attendees will interact with business entrepreneurs from other parts of the country, and across the globe. As the nodal department, the Agricultural Marketing and Agri Business Department are making all arrangements for the event.
The event will see a largest gathering of investors, manufacturers, producers, food processors, policy makers, and organizations from the global food ecosystem. Conferences, exhibitions, sector-specific seminars, country and state sessions, B2B & B2G meetings would be held, to provide a vibrant platform for networking and collaborations, between Indian and international businesses. More than 2,000 participants, 400 exhibitors from 20 countries and 26 States, as well as over 50 global CEOs are expected to participate, share their experiences and technical know-how.
It will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on November 3 and Minister for Agriculture R Doraikannu, will represent the state on behalf of Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami.
