Gold, cash seized from Forest office by DVAC sleuths
An unaccounted cash to the tune of Rs 3.8 lakh and 113 grams of gold were seized from the district forest office located in DMS in Chennai during a surprise check by DVAC sleuths on Tuesday.

In another surprise check conducted in Villupuram backward class welfare office, the DVAC team seized unaccounted cash of Rs 2.5 lakh, while another raid at Ooty panchayat union office resulted in the seizure of Rs 73,300.Â
Last Thursday, DVAC sleuths raided the office of Chennai Corporation zone 12 in Alandur and seized Rs 1.52 lakh unaccounted cash from there.Â
A press release from the DVAC said that on Monday the DVAC team conducted surprise checks the office of inspectors of labour circle I and III and offices of assistant inspectors to seize unaccounted cash of Rs 61000 from there.
