Juvenile’s parents held for kidnap

The juvenile’s (14) parents — Yohankumar and Sudharani alias Usharani — allegedly told the police during investigation that they decided to raise the kid. “After watching the CCTV footage of him taking the kid on the bicycle, the juvenile painted it in another colour. So, the matter can’t be taken lightly,” said a police official. 

While the boy was sent to the rehabilitation home, the couple have been remanded in judicial custody. They have been booked under the IPC Section 363. Yohankumar is a labourer, while his wife Usharani is a home maker. Mohammed Sadhu (3) went missing while playing outside his house on September 25. 

A special team traced the kid with the help of the CCTV footage to Kasuthriba Nagar at Karanesan Nagar in the same locality. During the inquiry, the juvenile, who took away the child, told police that the child got attracted to his cycle key chain and he carried the child with him as he found him cute.
