Wife kills man after repeated sexual abuse

The accused, Yuvarani (24), surrendered at MKB Nagar police station admitting to the crime and then the case was transferred to Avadi Tank Factory Police station, as the site of murder falls under the latter’s jurisdiction. 

In her confession, Yuvarani, a tailor working from home, alleged that her husband Rajkumar (30), an auto driver, abused and harassed her sexually over a period of time. 

On Friday night too, Rajkumar reportedly repeated his behaviour and unable to put up with him anymore, Yuvarani allegedly smashed his head with hollow bricks when he was asleep. Rajkumar died on spot.

At first, she tried to escape to her kin’s house in MKB Nagar, but later surrendered to the police. Following this, the police recovered Rajkumar’s body and sent it for post mortem. Yuvarani has been remanded to judicial custody in Puzhal prison. The couple has a four-year-old son, said police sources.
