Vyasarpadi youth held for assaulting postman
The Vyasarpadi police on Thursday arrested a youth for assaulting a postman.

Police said Krishnamurthy (54), a postman working with the Vyasarpadi post office, went to the house of Kalaivendhan (23) at Muthukumarasamy Street, to deliver a letter.Â
When Krishnamurthy called out his name loudly, Kalaivendhan came out and abused the postman for shouting. Krishnamurthy and Kalaivendhan had a verbal duel and Kalaivendhan assaulted Krishnamurthy.Â
Based on Krishnamurthy’s complaint, Vysarpadi police arrested Kalaivendhan and remanded him in judicial custody.
