Wife alleges abuse by TV anchor Balaji

After submitting a petition in this regard at the Commissionerate on Saturday, Nithya said that it was her last resort after going through the entire hierarchy of police department seeking justice. 

According to Nithya, Balaji pushed her from the staircase in their house in Madhavaram during a quarrel on May 20 in which she sustained fractures in her legs. However, Madhavaram police did not accept her complaint against Balaji. 

Nithya said she has been living separately since the incident. Balaji and Nithya are married for eight years and have a girl child who is 6 years old. 

Nithya had already filed a police complaint against Balaji a few months ago accusing him of making casteist remarks on her. “Balaji is very insecure since his first marriage failed. I want to go for a legal separation for the welfare of my kid and Balaji is trying to stop it,” Nithya said. 

However, when contacted, actor Balaji said that Nithya is being misled by some of her friends and added that his good intentions have been misunderstood and misinterpreted by her.
