Assaulted security guard dies

The deceased identified as K Chandran was employed at a private apartment complex on 3rd Cross street in Besant Avenue for the past three years. He was a resident of Pudhu Theru at Damodara Puram in Adyar. 

On Friday night, two people who came on a motorcycle identified the guard and rammed his head repeatedly with an iron rod before fleeing from the scene. The residents of the apartment rushed him to the Government Royapettah Hospital from where the doctors referred him to RGGGH for further treatment. Shastri Nagar Police are investigating the case.
