In a statement released on Thursday, she said that Dinakaran should be interrogated on the sources of his funds and action initiated against the ministers who helped him.
She also took a dig at the O Panneerselvam group for going in a procession with an imitation coffin of Jayalalithaa. Adding that banners with Sasikala’s picture were removed from the AIADMK headquarters only to divert attention from the arrest of Dinakaran, she called upon the party cadres not to fall prey to such gimmicks.
Deepa wanted them to rally behind her to save the party and retrieve the ‘Two Leaves’ symbol. Moreover, she took objection to PMK founder Dr S Ramadoss’s demand for permanently freezing the symbol. She added that people have been pushed to the streets to battle various issues.
