    Orders reserved on Reddy’s bail plea

    The Madras High Court has reserved its order on the bail plea moved by sand mining baron Sekar Reddy and two of his associates Srinivasalu and Premkumar.

    The trio were arrested by the Enforcement Directorate over the seizure of Rs 34 crore in new Rs 2,000 currency notes. 

    Justice S Baskaran, before whom the bail plea came up, reserved his orders after hearing both sides. The judge also reserved orders on the anticipatory bail pleas moved by two others - Ramachandran and Rathinam - who fear arrest in the above case. 

    Meanwhile, the Principal Sessions Judge extended the judicial custody of Sekar Reddy and two others until May 10. While the PSJ extended judicial custody of Sekar Reddy through video conferencing the other two were present at the court.
