Chennai
One evening, right after he had finished meetings with his clients Aneesh, a 26-year-old executive, began experiencing severe cramps. He began sweating profusely and felt extremely dehydrated. Upon rushing to his general physician, he was told that he was suffering from extreme heat exhaustion.

The symptoms of heat exhaustion include cramps, tiredness and extreme exhaustion, accompanied by dehydration. Dr S Ragunanthanan, Professor of Medicine, Madras Medical College noted that heat exhaustion was more common in the North and in drier regions like Andhra Pradesh.
He said, “However, geriatric population and those on psychotic drugs are more prone to heat exhaustion. We are seeing the condition among those who venture out regularly. These people require more fluids and fresh vegetables.
