The complainant Vasu owned a house at Villivakkam. While Vasu lived on the first floor with his family, he had let the ground floor on rent. For the past few weeks they had been busy with the wedding arrangements of one of their sons.
On Wednesday, the family had gone to Maduravoyal where their son’s marriage reception was conducted. The tenants had also come to attend the function.
“They all left by 4 pm on Wednesday. Vasu, a realtor and a DMK district representative, had kept the cash and gold for the marriage at his house.
