Soundarya’s car rams auto, no complaint filed

The front portion of the autorickshaw was completely damaged and the driver Mani, who was sleeping inside the vehicle sustained injuries. However, no police complaint has been lodged so far. The grey coloured Hyundai Creta (TN 06 Q 4572) lost control while negotiating a curve and rammed into the autorickshaw parked on the side of TTK Road around 4 am. However, it is not clear whether Soundarya was driving the car. According to police, who reached the spot hours after the accident, both parties reached a compromise at the spot itself and no police complaint was filed. “We have no details of the case as the auto driver has not preferred a complaint. Both parties settled the issue at the spot without involving the traffic police,” Subramanian, Inspector, traffic investigation, Pondy Bazaar told DTNext . Sources said, Soundarya had agreed to take care of Mani’s treatment and assured get the auto repaired at her expense, requesting him not to go to the police. The driver and his family reportedly accepted the offer and decided not to lodge a complaint. The police also do not have any idea how the accident took place or whether the car driver was drunk.
